That's what counts! Maybe Activity Monitor is just feeling lazy :P with so many cores..?!
Don't know about this. My two cores are showed and i have a Pentium D 925.

Maybe, it's only cosmetic but still.

Anyway, were ever you do it, check first if the issue isn't already reported.

Alright.

Because this way, when the kexts are updated by Apple, you don't lose the patch; that's the point of "Legacy" kexts.
Note that i don't know if that LegacyAppleHDA is a info.plist only kext?!
I'm having troubles understanding the problem here.. doesn't LegacyAppleHDA load at startup?

Basically my problem is that when i use audio 1second before i hear the actual audio, i get a "pop" sound. I am figuring out a way to get rid of the pop sound. When i don't use audio for let's say a minute. It's like the kext unloads itself, and when i want to use sound again, i hear this "pop" , like a pop of static before the actually audio comes in. But if i play a video constantly with sound, there are no issues.

My "literature" is on CleanCut for now, on "doc-azi" folder.
On the "private" side, you forgot pm :) for now i don't have time for more instant stuff.

Will take alook. PM? hahaha. But I don't really have issues at the moment. Only some other issues and projects. They are killing me. Not even a speck of document without spending money. I'm a cheapo. ;p

Don't know, really. Maybe it doesn't have space... did you try resizing the window?

Nope, don't go that way, kexts don't do that, afaik! You can kill that "theory" easily... check if the kext is loaded before you play some sound; just type
Code: [Select]
kextstaton Terminal; it will show all the kexts loaded. I read something but i'm not sure what and if it was related with AppleHDA or VoodooHDA?! i think it was something about bit-depht; check those settings on Audio MIDI Setup app, under "Format".

Yep... PM, private message, in case of doubt ;D

Okay forget that, Activity Monitor does detect but i guess the one bar just shows overall, I have to go to Window -> CPU Usage or History to see all eight cores.

Okay, just checked AppleHDA is loaded but not Legacy as i assume that because it is just a info.plist file. Hmm. I can't find a bit-depth setting, do i need to install something or what? Weird.

Alright. :)

EDIT: Oh and figured you might wanna know that there is something wrong with r432 of Chameleon you just uploaded. I get this if i set the TimeOut key in com.apple.boot.plist. If i go back to r416 everything is fine.

yeah... i could have checked this first, i forgot i have AHCIPortInjector.kext in use; it doesn't show.
About bit-depht, there's no tag for bit-depht, it's the right most drop down under Format, e.g. 2ch-24Bit.

I'm on to it... it's somehow related to the latest update. But, i managed to isolate this to one situation only on my machine; will post here. Still need to do a bit of testing to confirm stuff...

Hey... PM ;) unless related to the topic, of course.

Found a simple solution:
Delete sleepimage file and set Wake=No once working again.
Mount the drive via another MAC OS
In terminal, run:
rm /var/vm/sleepimage

Set key value pair Wake and No in Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist

Everything Works fine now

Seems like you post without reading the thread. Someone specifically stated that Wake=no didn't work for them in the first page and just so you know, this issue has been FIXED for a very long time.

Though, thanks for trying to contribute.
