ALPS trackpad recognized as PS2 Mouse in Snow Leopard

(1/1)

Ego_Osx:
Hi,
My HP mini 311 has an ALPS trackpad. When I load any version of voodoops2controller with ALPS support, the trackpad does not work at all. I can see the kext load in verbose mode. I see the trackpad recognized. In SL (using an external mouse) I see voodoops2trackpad loaded when I do a kextstat. Although when search my console messages, I don't see an initialization of the trackpad. This is really annoying.

I'm running SL 10.6.2 on an HP mini 311. I'm not running an EFI partition.
I've even tried the ApplePS2Contrller and I get the same behavior.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Even I tried to install but both the keyboard and trackpad does not work. Where did you get this "voodoops2controller with ALPS support" ?

Ego_Osx:
From the posts on here, plus those that come with netbook installer.

Has anybody resolved this issue?
My vaiox has exactly the same symptom. The trackpad is recognized as ALPS GlidePoint v.4.115.

Did you put the AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext with that VoodooPS2Controller.kext in /Extra folder? I dit that and it worked.
