Snow Leopard Crash w/ x86 bootv5.0.132 Chameleon V2.0-RC1r
« on: January 06, 2010, 05:48:43 AM »
Having a problem with my Hackintosh which I installed Snow Leopard on. It has been running fine for the past three months but after installing a certain program on it which required the system to restart, its been hanging at the "spinning circle screen" as I seen some people refer to it online. I even tried loading it up in Safe Mode; all it does is begin to load up and then the same crash error screens comes up.

How can I fix this? Is this a Chameleon error? Will the new build fix this? If I get a Snow Leopard CD will I be able to boot off of it? How can I salvage all of my vital files (i.e. applications, music, documents) while fixing the computer? There are things of much importance which I cannot live without! Please someone help me ASAP!

Below I have included a screenshot of the problem so that you can get a better view of what im talking about. The error code listed is "error code: 0x0000000000000002"

Boot to your backup.

You could use that USB drive you built your original SL on, and put that on another hard drive, then access the files from that installation.

When you get to the boot screen, type -v (it should show up in the bottom left corner)
Then pick your disk to boot from and you should see lots of text scroll by.  Take a picture when it stops.
