1005HA, 10.6.2, Can't get settings to stick
« on: February 05, 2010, 01:55:16 AM »
I'm using the latest voodoops2 for my 1005HA's trackpad, and after every reboot the settings reset themselves to stock.  What is required to get these to stick? The only files I have are voodoops2.kext (in S/L/E) and the preference pane, AFAIK no other voodops2 files are present.  Synaptics trackpad works fine, everything works perfectly. It just seems like upon reboot, the kext doesn't properly load the settings.  Can anyone help me please? Thanks in advance!

Hello!?

We heard you loud + clear the first time, you don't have to  bump.
Stop bitching, start coding or documenting or both..

apparently I do if it's been over a week and no one has even tried to come up with a solution.  and please don't come back with something like "figure it out yourself" because this is a SUPPORT forum hosted by the makers of a product specifically for that purpose.  the kext should save settings, it doesn't, so obviously its broken.  I'm sure there's plenty of other people that want to know how to fix it as well.

All I told you is that you don't have to bump.

We're checking the boards regularly and each project's maintainer(s) is aware of what's happening. "bump" replies ain't cool, follow-ups are very useful.

As for the rest of your aggressive presumptions about what's "apparent", long due after a "week" and obviously "broken", you seem to confuse regular products that come with a price-tag + warranty with free open-source projects that result from free time, hobbies and fun.

Stay cool
