[Resolved] Rc4 and shut off
« on: March 06, 2010, 05:40:50 PM »
First of all... i would like to thank all of you for this amazing work named Chameleon.

My problem, i run snow on my pc in a mbr partitioned disk divided in three partitions.
I have a dual boot, Win7 and SL and as bootloader Chameleon Rc3. All is working quite well...
I tried to upgrade to Rc4 just to hide non OS partitions from menu, so i copied boot file to leo's root.
At reboot the menu was correct, only what i wished to see... but starting SL take me to shut off the pc with a message like "cpu turned off" and the pc simply shut down.
Now i have reverted to old boot file and all it's ok again but... which was my fault?

I don't know what the problem could be but if you are interested in troubleshooting it yourself, you could make a Chameleon RC4 boot CD on a CD-RW and use that to troubleshoot the issue. Then keep tweaking it until it works.

You can add wait=y to /Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist to see what Chameleon is doing.

How to...

Make your own Chameleon boot CD: http://forum.voodooprojects.org/index.php/topic,484.msg2131.html#msg2131

Anyway... now runs smooth... thanks again.
