How do I fix this error message? nVidia Unknown
« on: March 08, 2010, 10:12:27 AM »
Hello,

I am getting an nVidia Unknown on my video cards (9600 512Mb GSO) with Snow Leopard 10.6 (Darwin/x86 boot v5.0.132 - Chameleon v2.0-RC4 r684).  I am at a loss on how to fix this.

- I noticed that when I boot up I get:
Code: [Select]
nVidia Unknown 512MB NV94 [10de:0625] :: PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x3,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)

if I put in all 3 of my cards with only 1 configured in the com.apple.boot.plist I get:
Code: [Select]
nVidia Unknown 512MB NV94 [10de:0625] :: PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x3,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)
nVidia unknown 4095MB NV1ff [10de:0625] :: PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x7,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)
nVidia unknown 4095MB NV1ff [10de:0625] :: PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x9,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)

Thanks for your help

Hi jmhuff

I've never used more than one video card with my hack, but there was this post which might help you?

Also, from looking at Chameleon's source code, it shows the device ID of the 9600GSO as 10de:0610, but your screenshot shows your video cards identified as device ID 10de:0625. That would explain why they are not identified.
