I use RC4, I tried to put the computer in sleep mode, it looked like it was going to, but then it generated a GUI kp (the kp that says hold down power button).  When I try to restart my chameleon loads, I can set the boot flags, but when when I try to get into my OSX partition it just freezes.

Is there anything I can do with chameleon to solve this instead of restoreing?

Thanks!

I was able to get out of the halt that was caused by this by getting to a terminal and replacing the EFI file with this one

http://netkas.org/?p=372

(it's pretty simple, just load whatever install cd you have, get to a terminal and replace the file "boot" that is listed on root of your os partition with the one from the file.

It worked, and now my machine sleeps, and wakes up the only issue is, I would like to know if there is a way to get out of this halt state using chameleon and not some other bootloader?

thanks

Do a CMOS reset, or 'load setup defaults' in BIOS.
Sometimes, if you boot into the installer on a random OS X install DVD or boot into Windows, then you can boot OS X again. ACPI is a pain in the ass.

i have the exact same issue after updating snow leopard to 10.6.3. had to remove battery to be able to use the keyboard. booted from a backup usb then it all worked again.

I tried the pci-efi boot method. it doesnt go to sleep but at least i can use the laptop without booting it with an external usb drive ( i only have snow leopard on it )

it reboots after i close the lid. then it boots back in osx with the display off untill the login screen starts

anybody has a fix for this issue ?
