AppleJack or something similair
« on: April 09, 2010, 07:47:28 PM »
Hello,

Will it hurt when I install and use AppleJack?

I have a problem, that I will try to figure out myself, and want to use Applejack or something similair.

Is there something similar, or has someone a project like this?

Note: Applejack allows you to repair drives/partitions and system privileges after booting in single user mode.
Quicksilver 2002 Case - GB EP45-DS3P - 8Gb Kingston mem. - Q6600 - Asus 7300GT Silent 512Mb - 6 SATA drives - 1 IDE drives ( using F12/Chameleon for booting, not visible in OSX ) - 1 external Sata Samsung DVD - OSX 10.6.8 server retail - Chameleon 2.0RC1 + Cartri Bios

Applejack is great but it only works on 10.5.x - don't install it if you're using Snow Leopard.

"Snow Leopard Cache Cleaner" has a 'single user-mode script' that you can install. I use this app sometimes  but I've never tried ´running that script. Take a look at it and see if it's something you can use.

Hola LA,

Ditto for Aj/10.5 only, you may try Onyx/Maintenance among a gazillion of other utils
Stop bitching, start coding or documenting or both..
