Cannot use Time Machine Fix EFI Strings
« on: April 14, 2009, 04:56:03 PM »
Hi guys,
I've tried to Time Machine Fix EFI strings in my boot.plist and it's a no go.  Is it incompatible with Chameleon?

Are you using this string?

Code: [Select]
4b00000001000000010000003f0000000100000002010c00d041030a0100000001010600001e0101060000017fff0400160000006200750069006c0074002d0069006e0000000500000001
I installed IONetworkingFamily like this, and my SuperDuper issues went away:

Code: [Select]
sudo cp ./IONetworkingFamily /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/MacOS/IONetworkingFamily
sudo chown 0:0 /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/MacOS/IONetworkingFamily
sudo rm /System/Library/Extensions.mkext

Of course, I'd rather have an EFI string as to me, that's much cleaner.

Hi

Are you using this string?

Code: [Select]
4b00000001000000010000003f0000000100000002010c00d041030a0100000001010600001e0101060000017fff0400160000006200750069006c0074002d0069006e0000000500000001

Is this the wrong string or?

I installed IONetworkingFamily like this,
Do you remember where you get that from?

Of course, I'd rather have an EFI string as to me, that's much cleaner.
Of course.

Thanks

Yes that's the string I was using for the time machine fix (that wasn't working).  I got the fix from here:
