PC restarts suddenly when installing snow leopard from usb
« on: July 30, 2010, 12:09:56 PM »
Hello. I am having the following problem: I am trying to install snow leopard on my pc from a usb. So I start my pc boot the usb and get to the chameleon bootscreen. There i choose Mac OS X Install DVD (which is actually my USB drive). I press ENTER I can see 4-5 lines of text appearing and then my PC suddenly restarts... My BIOS is set to S3 and AHCI.

Any suggestions?

I tried it in safe mode and in verbose mode and I still get the same results. I tried the "USBBusFix command and I got a screen with repeated:

EBIOS read error: Device timeout
Block 0X#### sectors 0

Any ideas?
