Voodoopowermini Dell Mini 10v (1011)
« on: August 16, 2010, 02:04:01 AM »
Please, please, PLEASE could someone help me out with this!?

I am running 10.6.4 on my dell mini 10v (1011) installed using netboot maker and using chameleon.

It all works great... apart from the battery consumption. Now could someone please explain how i can go about using these kernel extensions to better my hackbook :( I really would like to be able to use it without needing a power source every hour and a half :/

I previously tried using the voodoopowermini kext using kext helper, but on reboot I got kernel panic.

So PLEASE, somebody reply and enlighten me! I can't find any info anywhere!

I really would appreciate it a lot.

If you are using NetbookInstaller 0.8.4, then you are already using the native power management + speed stepping built into OS X.

If you want to switch over you first need to install NUllCPUPowerManagement to disable OS X's power management code.
