ATI multiple card & framebuffer support
« on: September 15, 2010, 03:53:29 AM »
More and more people are starting to have more than one graphics card in their computers, often for a variety of reasons...  Myself included.
Now I realize that a large part of the problem/difficulty with this issue seems to be the result of poor/missing software support from Apple- although this is improving. (The new Mac Pros are supposed to have the option for TWO 5770s- it will be interesting to see how Apple pulls that off- hopefully something we can all use!)
Anyway, with the abundance of inexpensive devices available, many of which share the same vendor & device IDs (possibly not subvendor ID); they many times require different framebuffers, or different framebuffers can be used to reach certain goals...

There should be some way to call a specific framebuffer for each graphics card, as default- but from the chameleon directly as well for experimental purposes (like everytime we buy a new ATI gfx card!  LOL)

Any thoughts?  Responses?

Thanks a lot!  Keep up the great work, it really is very appreciated!
