ad2000b codec for SupremeFX
« on: September 23, 2010, 08:29:17 AM »
Hi all,

So first of all I'm new here and that's mean that I'm Nobe. I have been doing a lot of researches about how can i get the bloody sound on my speakers. Unfortunately I'm so desperate that i've decided to ask You if you know how can i get audio on my Asus Maximus III Formula motherboard. The motherboard has SupremeFX sound card  which uses ad2000b codec. I've tried like 100 different VoodooHDA kexts and many other things but nothing did work so far. I know i'm doing something wrong so maybe someone smart or with the same experiance would give me any advice. I've installed 10.6.3 Snow Leopard updated to 10.6.4 and everything works except sound :'(    . Please anyone can give any hint?

Thank you with advance

I've done some progress but i still don't get a sound. I'll explain what's going on. Please refer to this link where i've uploaded 3 photos with my Audio (buid-in):

So how you can see that if i go to Hardware contents and i choose Audio (Built in) than I can see:

Intel High Definition Audio

Line Output:
Connection:         1/8-Inch Jack

External Microphone / iPhone Headset:
Connection:   1/8-Inch Jack

S/PDIF Optical Digital Audio Output:
Connection:   Optical

That's something new for me but when i go to System Preferences and i choose Sound than in Sound Effects, Output and Input tab doesn't appear anything and the sound is muted.

Kext i downloaded from here:
