HP Compaq Presario C770US, Conexant CX20561 (Hermosa)

Hi there,

Thanks for this great new project.

As promised, here's my feedback for VoodooHDA.kext v0.2.2:
 - The sound outputs (Internal Speakers & Headphones) are working perfectly and they do mute properly too (as opposed to version 0.2.1 & a patched AppleHDA.kext).
 - The 2 sound inputs show as "Mic"; one should instead show as "Line In", but for the moment none of them are working. Sound inputs used to "kinda work" with 0.2.1, but they were showing up as Outputs instead.

Here the "lcpci -nn" output:
00:1b.0 Audio device [0403]: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller [8086:284b] (rev 03)

You'll find attached the output of "getdump".

I have no idea if this will help for VoodooHDA, but here's my PinConfig/Verbs:
01671C40 01671D40 01671E21 01671F01 01771CF0 01771D01 01771E00 01771F40 01871C30 01871D90 01871EA1 01871F01 01971CF0 01971D01 01971E00 01971F40 01A71C10 01A71D01 01A71E17 01A71F92 01B71CF0 01B71D01 01B71E00 01B71F40 01C71CF0 01C71D01 01C71E00 01C71F40 01D71C20 01D71D01 01D71EA7 01D71F97

You'll also find attached Vista's original registry export of this key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0001\PinConfigOverrideVerbs]

Jack Detection -- HP Compaq Presario C770US, Conexant CX20561 (Hermosa)
« Reply #1 on: April 18, 2009, 06:09:05 PM »
Hi,

On an additional note, I had forgotten to mention that the Jack Detection doesn't work neither and I have to manually go in the System Preferences to switch output to Headphones instead of Internal Speakers.

Regards,

Update:

Got both Inputs to work now that we can easily set values using the VoodooHDA.prefPane.

I had to set Speakers' & Headphones' "Recording Level" higher (I did set them to the maximum) as they were both set to 0.

Tested both Internal Mic (First "Mic" entry) and Line In (Second "Mic" entry) and they both work now.
