SPFWR Error
« on: March 08, 2011, 04:22:42 PM »
Hi All,

I have an iMac with specifications:

Mac OS X Version 10.6.4core i3
Processor 3.06 GHz Intel
Memory 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3

i have been trying to connect a miniDv camera - SONY DCR-HC54E through Firewire (9 pin port) but every time i connect the camera, I get this message on the console -
System Profiler[233]   SPFWR ERROR: FireWire bus may be unstable. Other FireWire devices may be present.

Could any one please let me know what is the problem?
I have already done the following things -
1. Checked the Firewire port of the iMac machine from the local service centre just to make sure that there is no fault in the system
2. Changed the Firewire cable
3. Tried different cameras (Minidv cameras)

TIA
Sabina

We can't help you with that here. This forum is about the Chameleon bootloader which is used to install and subsequently boot OS X on PCs.

Take your Mac to the Apple store.
