wifi card
« on: March 12, 2011, 02:22:02 AM »
hey guys, i have a laptop here, which is an acer aspire 6930

i have installed osx 10.7 using iatkos v7

i read that the wifi card that was included with my laptop had no drivers yet, and hasn't for a while now

so i went out and bought a Gigabyte AirCruiser N300 GN-WS30N-RH because it contained a Ralink chipset which was said to work properly in OSx86

i finished installing it and got the drivers for windows and linux (which was natively)

i also got the drivers for mac and tried to install them

the install went fine but whenever i open the ralink utility it tells me not card detected

i opened system profiler and didn't see it anywhere there

i opened OSx86tools and i can see it listed under the pci cards

my question to you guys is how do i get this card working?

i've been reading on these forums for about 4 hours today and haven't had any luck

if anyone can help me, please do

Not related to the Chameleon bootloader, welcome to the Black Hole.

Post on InsanelyMac or ProjectOSX.

Stay away from OSX86Tools. It is old and obsolete and if you click in the wrong place your Hackintosh will break into 1000 tiny pieces.
