Change Request for Official Chameleon Docs
« on: March 24, 2011, 06:27:58 AM »
Please add words about Hide Partition and Default Partition as below:
get the argument hd(x,y),use Disk Utility in Mac OS,select the partition you want to see, right click and select "info" menu item to see the correct number of "x"and"y",it may seems like this:disk0s5,so x=0 y=5.

Hi imcircle. Welcome to the forum.

I moved your post from the Official Chameleon Docs topic to keep that clean and having it in the General Discussion area will help others see it and maybe comment.

But to answer your question:
That is the wrong way, as Chameleon uses the drive/partition identifiers handed to it from BIOS. These can be different in OS X due to the way that OS X maps the drives itself. To see the values Chameleon uses you need to boot either without a GUI, or if in the GUI, press TAB to enter text mode where you will see beside the partition names, the drive/partition numbers you will want to use.
