[Theme] Blackosx_Big_Screen_2011_Refresh
« on: May 12, 2011, 03:21:29 PM »
This is a re-release of one of my old themes where I've brought it up to date for Chameleon RC5.

This time round I have updated the title strip on the background to match the names of users listed in the Chameleon trunks' credits file. I've added additional images to make use of RC5's rollover effect, updated the desktop pictures for OS X 10.7, Ubutnu and added freebsd and openbsd devices images too.    8)

The download should hopefully contain everything needed, and there's a ReadMe to explain setting the theme up.

ERRATA: The ReadMe.rtf instructions in the download mentions setting the Theme key/string to Blackosx_GlassEye_Theme. This should read Blackosx_Big_Screen_2011_Refresh

Amazing! Blackosx, which fonts are you using in that screenshot? Also, would anyone care to share their resized 1680 X 1050 resolution version for this theme? Thanks!

The font_small is made from a typeface named 'Star Trek Film BT'.
For 1680x1050 resolution you can resize the devices (and the 16:10 background) by 87.5%. See the ReadMe in the archive for instructions.

Your english is fine :)
No need to email you as I've attached a template for the 3up devices here. Others can make use of it also if they want.

Chameleon can't distinguish between different Linux distros. It can only show the same graphic for all versions it finds. nawcom explains the reason here http://forum.voodooprojects.org/index.php/topic,984.msg4254.html#msg4254

Hi Blackosx!

Thank you again for this awesome theme :D. It's working perfectly on my hackintosh. But there's one thing that I don't get: Why is the device_selection.png visible in the timeout screen (see picture below)? Because normally it doesn't show that? Or am I wrong?

Hey Windows04 :)

I've just tried it and you're right. I normally have my Timeout boot option, in the com.apple.Boot.plist, set to 0 which takes me directly to the device selection screen. So I've never really noticed it before.

This comes down to the RC5 code changes and was done because the device shown on the timeout screen is the one that will be booted and is therefore deemed as being 'selected'.

The only solution I can think of now will be to use a blank device_selection.png.
