Why I have FSB 184MHz not 200MHz
« on: May 21, 2011, 11:12:35 AM »
Hello

I have that bug from looong time.
My CPU are T8300 with 200MHz FSB, but Chameleon recognize it as 184MHz and 13 busratio.

With AnVal I can change FSB to 200 and 12 busratio, but sound are cracky, time going slower.

Here is my bdmesg from trunk r861:

Try my branch RC5m-1208. I probably know what is it. Explanations will be soon.

Same issue here with T8100 CPU and latest Chameleon 2.3 svn. Memory speed is affected as well.

I tried patching cpu.c myself with the code from here:
http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=111890&start=60#p725724
But that resulted in sound glitches, both with VoodooHDA and patched AppleHDA.
I get the feeling that the patch doesn't really force a 200Mhz FSB, it just forces Chameleon to report 200Mhz to OS X?
