I lose sound and USB if I change bootloader graphics mode!
« on: June 06, 2011, 06:21:17 PM »
Hi everyone, this is my first post here and while I am not exactly a newbie at computers, some of this Chameleon stuff has me stumped. I just installed 10.6.7 on a Dell D630 with the NVIDIA135 card and I almost* have everything working...meaning that reboot and shutdown/sleep won't work either with evoreboot or openhaltrestart.

I used the myiHack installer bootdisc and retail DVD plus the D630/830 kext pack from insanelymac. Now something that does not make any sense to me is that if I change the resolution of the bootloader screen to the proper 1440x900, upon login I lose the sound and usb ports. I am currently running Chameleon 2RC3 by the way; feel free to ask for more specifics about my install and thanks in advance!

Very strange I agree.

How are you changing the resolution of the bootloader screen?
Try updating to the latest version of Chameleon. You can get a fairly recent build from
