Chameleon w EFI USB Stick booting problems
« on: July 16, 2011, 08:20:27 PM »
I'm very confused on what's going on. I have Chameleon on a USB thumbdrive with snow leopard retail image on it. I created this disk to successfully boot into installation and after that, I never wrote to it after that. Sometimes though, If I have problems with a mac os x installation, I can't boot into the snow leopard installation successfully. Something about can't finding root or uid. I cannot figure out the correlation as I thought my USB and Hard Drive should be independent, especially if I'm not depending on the HD to boot off my retail installation installed onto my USB. I'll keep trying in the mean time.

This is really weird. I boot my USB Thumb drive in while running OS X just to verify if all the files were okay, and they were. Then next restart it works. Just a random computer glitch I guess.
