Crackling sound voodoohda 2.7.2

I Have this problem too, sound is crackling when playing loud music.

I found a workaround with consists in enabling SSE2 in VoodooHDA PrefPane. Unfortunately, this setting is reseted at every reboot. The VoodooHDA Helper doesn't seem to work in Lion (10.7 and 10.7.1).

Problem still exists in voodooHDA 2.7.3. Any help would be appreciated!
