AL880 - Mic/LineIn Issue
« on: April 19, 2009, 08:13:44 PM »
Hello,

Internal mic and Line are correctly recognized as shared device with 0.2.2 version, but the input volume is very very low (not audible). I played with Tables.c with no success.
On GarageBand, I can amplify the sound to here something, but the input volume slider doesn't do anything. Volume changes are reported in system.log but they aren't really performed.

When Input Volume is higher than half and there's no External Mic plugged in, output sound is distorted if Volume is between 42 and 45.

I took a look at the codec dump, and I think there is no mixer for input, that would explain why playing with Tables.c or the input volume slider don't change anything.

Is there a way to have a 'virtual mixer' or something like that to perform software amplification?
