Network Booting
« on: August 04, 2011, 09:59:24 PM »
Hi, i'm start to play with osx and i would like set up a boot server for network booting installation os Osx, some search dosent show me any usefull info.
I already have a linux box with necessasry stuff for network booting some systems, but any triyng with Osx, was useless.
My setup, dhcpd from isc with necessary stuff to serve pxelinux.0 file, default config file that present me one simple menu thru choice some Os flawor, in menu' osx i call a mboot.c32, module to call multiboot operating system, after i added a line like this: appen /images/osx/boot --- /images/osx/mach_kernel  --- /images/osx/Extensions_mkext
when netboot some client, i see normaly menu, and if choice osc, tftp send me mboot.c32 boot mach_kernel and other stuffs, but at the end i see a prompt that ask me a correct drive for booting.
How can i do to start osx installation via pxe after some sort ov initrd ramdisk or similar?
Many thanks for any answer
