new SSD - Chameleon hangs when listing disks
« on: August 21, 2011, 03:10:02 PM »
Hi guys,
I got a new SSD, it is a Patriot Wildfire 240GB.
When it is plugged into the mobo over SATA, Chamelon (2.0 RC5 r1003) hangs on the progress spinner. This is usually a problem with the partition table.

The partition table is a perfectly normal GPT w/ EFI system partition, created in Disk Utility in 10.7.0. The volume is empty.
gdisk output:
Code: [Select]
Disk /dev/disk3: 468862128 sectors, 223.6 GiB
Logical sector size: 512 bytes
Disk identifier (GUID): 6CD495AC-3386-40EE-9A61-0D50E73D7DB8
Partition table holds up to 128 entries
First usable sector is 34, last usable sector is 468862094
Partitions will be aligned on 8-sector boundaries
Total free space is 262157 sectors (128.0 MiB)

Number  Start (sector)    End (sector)  Size       Code  Name
   1              40          409639   200.0 MiB   EF00  EFI System Partition
   2          409640       468599943   223.3 GiB   AF00  Macintosh SSD

Other stats that are probably not relevant:
mobo is a P35-DS3P. Q6600, Radeon 5870. Boot disk is a different drive that has Chameleon and OS X installed on it.

I updated to latest - no difference.
Any idea of a verbose mode or log output I can look at to see why it's freezing?
