Chameleon doesn't see Linux partition (solved)
« on: September 03, 2011, 02:19:43 AM »
Hi,

I'm currently using Chalemeon r1493 and it doesn't see my Linux Mint partition. I installed GRUB2 to the root partition itself (tells me that blocklists are bad etc but I used --force), but when I reboot, I only see my Lion and my Windows partition.

Is there something special to do to have Chameleon see GRUB2? I made sure the linux partition doesn't have the hidden flag.

The worse part is that it worked before. I had a linux system correctly detected by this chameleon revision and I'm almost sure it used grub2.

So what else should I check? I'm running out of ideas :(

Well, I solved it by deleting and recreating the ext4 partition. Very odd...

The real way to solve it is to make sure grub is on /dev/sdax (PBR) and not /dev/sda (MBR).
