ClickPad recognized as TouchPad
« on: October 24, 2011, 09:30:52 AM »
Hi
I have recently installed Mac OS X 10.6.3 on my laptop. The computer has, according to windows, a Synaptics ClickPad v7.4, but when booting OS X in verbose mode, it tells me that my VoodooPS2TrackPad is Synaptics TouchPad v7.4.
This has resulted in that I'm unable to make a click with the trackpad when booted into OS X. after installation, I needed to plug in a USB mouse to go into system preferences and under the trackpad settings enable the "tap" functionallity to be able to click with the trackpad.
But except for this two-finger scrolling works just like on real macs.
How do I fix the problem with the clickpad recognized as a touchpad?
Has there been made a version compatible with 64-bit OS X 10.6.8 and 10.7.x
