Random Panics at boot
« on: April 24, 2009, 10:18:36 AM »
I experience unpredictable Kernel Panics at boot time since I installed VoodooPS2Controller.kext.
Unfortunatly a 768 pixel height isn't enough to get the entire dump displayed on screen because an other panic occurs right after because cpu time out. Moreover, my digital camera decided that the moment I was taking a picture of it was the right time to die. So wrote it down by hand and this is what I get:

Code: [Select]
EFL: 0x00000006, EIP: 0X001a3abf, CS: 0x00000008, DS: 0x00000010
Backtrace (CPU1), Frame: Return Adress (4 potential args on stack)

0x2e2dfea8: 0x414219 (0x382ca00 0x386ce00 0x381b5c0 0x3862500)
      Backtrace continues...
    Kernel Loadable modules in backtrace (with dependencies):

panic(cpu0) caller 0x00193ce7, pmap_flush_tlbs() timeout " "cpu(s)
failing to respond to interrupts, pmap=0x53a600 cpus_to_respond=0x2"
-- Backtrace Infos --
      Backtrace continues...

BSD Process (etc...) : kernel_task

I'm not sure how useful this is since the original panic dump is croped…
