boot0 error
« on: January 18, 2012, 01:20:08 PM »
I successfully installed Snow Leopard 10.6.3 Retail version to my AMD based system (with Nawcom ModCD). When I start my system always get an error message:

Quote
boot0: test
boot0: error

I can start my newly installed system only from my Nawcom ModCD. I've tried to reinstall the bootloader multiple time, without succes (with Chameleon Wizard).

Here is my Chameleon installer log file:http://pastebin.com/0zdDYqhb

I have a dual boot system: OSX 10.6.3 and Windows 7
Any ideas? How can fix my installation?

My system:
CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 250
Memory: 2GB 1333Mhz DDR3
Motherboard: ASRock N68-GS3 UCC
Video Card: Asus GeForce 7300 GT 256MB
HDD: Western Digital 1TB

Hi outwork

You have boot0hfs installed which should seek for boot1 on the first HFS partition which is disk0s3 but I see it's not working.
However, the point of using boot0hfs is so you can leave your Windows install flagged active, but your Windows install is not flagged active in this case and instead your HFS drive is.

I'm not sure if this will make a difference this but you could try flagging your Windows installation active? Or maybe even try writing Boot0md with fdisk440 to the MBR of disk0 to see if that picks up the Chameleon. There's also a debug version here if you want to try that to maybe help find your problem.
