HAD Lion 7.2 on Intel P55 Board running fine.
* upgraded Bios
System Crashes during Boot (indicating issue with AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext)
* Reverted Bios to ORIGINAL version

YES, I checked the BIOS setting after the upgrade and subsequent downgrade, to be sure
that the setting were SAME as before.
It seems like a BIOS update changed the way the HARDWARE responds to the
very same SOFTWARE. Bios was updated with Intel universal Bios install on USB stick.
To be SURE, I did this on two different machines and the results were the same.
Yes, if I install /Extra/Extensions/NullCPUPowerManagement.kext
Then I am able to boot, but of course the System is Unable to SLEEP.
I could use some Words of Wisdom by someone who understands the Bigger Picture.
thanks in advance !!

Gringo Vermelho:
Not a Chameleon issue, welcome to The Black Hole.
Yes, a BIOS upgrade or even changing BIOS settings can do that.
Make sure your BIOS settings are the same as they were when you installed OS X with the old BIOS and, if you were using a patched DSDT before upgrading your BIOS, redump your DSDT and apply the same patches to it all over again.
