Hackintosh for Stable Music Production?
« on: March 05, 2012, 09:35:01 PM »

Hi, Im new to the forum and im hoping someone can give me opinons or experiences with using a PC w OSX for stable music production. I have a friend who can set it up for me, I just need to know that it will be relatively smooth and problem free after that. I could live with it being a little bit more trouble as long as it wont crash during live use.  Thanks Alot, Lapo

Not here. This forum is primarily for discussing the Chameleon boot loader.

That said, any working and stable hackintosh with decent specs is suitable for music production.
Nobody anywhere on the internet will be able to promise you that it will be "smooth and problem free" after your friend has built it. This is up to you and your friend.

Well nobody can assure you that the system you're going to make will be entirely stable, but from my point of view if you install properly every driver, you shouldn't go into any problem... as long as you don't update OSX (in that case some drivers could become incompatible)
With an Apple computer everything is guarantied so you can't worry, but is that worth 3 times the price ? that's your choice
