64 bit Mountain Lion kext for logitech Trackman marble fx?
« on: August 02, 2012, 05:40:21 AM »
Hi guys, need a little bit of help here, i need a kext for a Logitech Trackman Marble Fx Ps/2 Mouse. i've been trying all the ps2 kext i could find and nothing works... Here is what i used to do to make my mouse work in Linux: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-evdev/+bug/889292

i would appreciate any help, i really like this mouse and i cant imagine using anything else... thx

EDIT: Looking at the forum, things seems to be pretty much dead around here... looks like using an arduino to do the conversion might be my only option at this point.. well sound like a fun project... The Arduino Leonardo looks promissing, the computer already see it as a keyboard and mouse, the only thing i will have to do is to somehow connect my trackball to it and program the thing to do the conversion… meh.. how hard can it be….

EDIT: The Arduino looks fine for this, but Teensy looks a lot simpler, beside, according to this, the wiring would be pretty simple: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=14618.0 Of course that project is for a keyboard so now i'm missing the specification of the PS/2++ protocol, so i can start to ask myself if i understand that stuff enough to even attempt to program that thing... Oh Here is more information about the Teensy: http://www.pjrc.com/teensy/index.html

EDIT: Well i had to dig those specification out of the wayback machine of archives.org... ;)

Here is the URL for the Logitech PS/2++ Specification (also included a pdf copy):
