ALC 663 - asus g50vt-x1 - can't load VoodooHDA
« on: April 30, 2009, 04:55:09 PM »
I am running iPC 10.5.6 on a asus g50vt-x1 which has ALC663 sound.

I have been told that VoodooHDA is working on this device, but I seem to have some problems.

I get the following errors on boot:

"Couldn't alloc class VoodooHDADevice"

"Can't determine immediate dependencies..."

"error: couldn't open PCI device"

Any ideas?  I have a feeling I'm missing something....

Thanks!

Nevermind!

Used VoodooHDA 0.2.2 and it worked like a charm....

Thanks!

Out of curiosity does your G50VT have 5.1 surround speakers? I have an Asus M70VM-X1 and the speakers are only recognized as 2-channel stereo... I have no bass whatsoever, it's super tinny. Do you have the same issue?

I installed ideneb 1.4 (os x 10.5.6) + update 10.5.7 on asus n50VC with audio ALC 663.
it works but the output speaker is low level i try to modify with woodoo prefane and save preset but nothing change... but for the moment it's the best driver for this internal audio Alc 663...

it works with logic pro 8.0.2 only a bug with waveburner the driver can't initialized
