EDIT:: I forgot to mention that I'm using the 0.2.2 version.

This is awesome! I'm very happy about this developing driver! It output sound successfully on my D630 on 10.5.7 after a simple install using kext helper. So that's great!

A few minor issues:

The internal microphone doesn't work. I think this is in general an issue with the latest version, and isn't a huge deal for me right now. I haven't tested an external mic or line in.

The preference pane throws an error "Can't map memory" when you try to access it in System Preferences. When you try to leave VoodooHDA or close System Preferences, System Preferences becomes unresponsive and crashes.

The script, voodoohdahelper, errors out when you try to run it:
Code: [Select]
Found a device of class VoodooHDADevice: IOService:/AppleACPIPlatformExpert/PCI0@0/AppleACPIPCI/AZAL@1B/VoodooHDADevice

settings file path: /Users/drew/Library/Preferences/VoodooHDA.settings
error: can't read the settings file
error: can't read settings

The VoodooHDA.settings file exists, and should be readable/writable, but is blank.

Attached is my dump file!

Try this:

Basically... Use the kext that comes with the prefpane :P
