waiting for root device

Hey everyone i have iPC 10.5.6  BETA with PPF 2 version and after i installed chameleon 2.0
i can boot only using flags -f -F. Otherwise i get error waiting for root device.

Any tips ?

Do not use a "distribution" there are so many modified stuff in that kind of installations that makes almost impossible to discover where the problems come from.

Is there any easy way to install semi-retail version on AMD ? all those instructions were not good enough to risk my working distro :)

I think all you need for installing on AMD is a 10.5.5 retail disc and voodoo kernel on your chameleon bootcd...anyway, AMD is not a good option for OS X and never will.

8 out of 10 times this is solved by setting SATA as AHCI (instead of a bastardized SATA as IDE or Compatible or whatever each BIOS ROM calls it).

may this be your case too?
