You can make a Chameleon boot CD.

You can find how-tos on the insanelymac and projectosx forums.

If you have a USB Drive big enough you can also copy and boot the Retail installer from there with Chameleon 2, I posted a small guide on insanelymac and infinitemac forums, it did the job for me without much hassle (first time installing retail)
Mac OS X 10.5.6 Retail (Updated to 10.5.7) with Chameleon 2.0 RC1+BootIt NextGen 1.86 (MBR Single Drive)
Gigabyte 73PVM-S2H + C2D + 2 Gb
2 SATA HD (AppleAHCIport.kext) + 1 PATA DVD+RW (DarwinATAPort.kext)
Realtek ALC889 (VoodooHDA.kext)
Geforce 8600GTS (EFI String) PS/2 M & KB: VoodooPS2.kext

@thorazine74 + anyone else who ever done chameleon-specific guides @ insanely

we'd love to have them here to
1) comply with the forum rules about cross-posting,
2) sticky the vfaq guides in order to have more time testing the actual RC release(s).

I'm gathering info myself, if any of you'd like to help, please PM me to avoid doing the same guide(s)
