Hear me out..this is going to get confusing quick.
I have 4 hard drives. 4 different operating systems.
1TB seagate: Mac OSX Hackintosh (Chameleon Loader)
640 GB Western Black: Windows Vista x32 (BCD)
320 GB Western Blue: Windows 7 x64 (BCD)
320 GB Western Blue: Ubuntu 10.04 x64 (GRUB)
This is my install method: When i install an OS, i run the target HDD alone. So Vista doesnt know 7, ubuntu, or OSX exist. 7 doesnt know ubuntu, OSX, or ubuntu exist. etc. So all bootloaders are single loaders (what I call native mode).
I have one exception: I have the Vista and 7 BCD's cross linked, since it only makes sense, being as their native to eachother.
Right now, I have the OSX drive set to default boot. Thus Chameleon is the first bootloader.
I I do nothing, it will boot to OS. If I strike a key, it lists a whole list of partitions, including all my jump drives. If I select Win7", it takes me to the windows 7 BCD, where ic an either choose Windows 7 (default) or Windows Vista.
However, after installing Ubuntu 10.04 LTS x64, Chameleon does not list the drive.
Do I need to upgrade/reinstall Chameleon to make it recognize the *nix OS? I know that the options will change based on which fllash drives are plugged in, but it does not list Ubuntu. For that matter, i dont think it lists vista either.
Can somebody please advise me?
