Retail 10.5.7, Chameleon 2.0RC1, Extensions not working...
« on: June 21, 2009, 01:45:11 PM »
Hi all

I have a vanilla working retail installation of leo and am using Chameleon 2.0RC1. I have installed the following extensions into my /Extra/Extensions folder:

(These installed with Chameleon 2.0RC1)
AHCIPortInjector.kext
ATAPortInjector.kext
IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext

(Sound Drivers - ALC1200_1057_SLIM)
AppleHDA.kext
HDAEnabler.kext

(Network Drivers - Attansic L1E)
AttansicL1eEthernet.kext

(PS/2 Keyboard Drivers)
VoodooPS2Controller.kext

(Other kexts needed to boot)
AppleDecrypt.kext
Disabler.kext
dsmos.kext

Currently my sound doesn't work no matter what I do but it works with the same driver on my iPC installation.

Network works only if I boot with -f.

I have a wierd screen dimming happening sometimes. It will slightly and slowly dim the screen and then brighten it up again depending on what I am viewing. For instance at boot the grey boot screen slowly gets brighter until it is at the correct brightness.

Any suggestions?

Some kexts doesnt't work loaded form Extra - eg. most of graphic injectors. Some works only if they are cached in mkext file. Maybe it will help with LAN driver. If not, put it in S/L/E or put kernel flag -f into com.apple.Boot.plits.

Essential, intel/Jmicron legacy, OpenHaltRestart - works form Extra without problems.
By the way, if You're using AppleDecrypt & Disabler, then there is no sense to have dsmos.
If Youre using iPC, and havent modded it to use Extra, then You should check out Your S/L/E. Probably You have second set od essential & Intel/Jmicron kexts there.

Info about VoodooHDA & Extra, You can find on VoodooHDA subforum:

I don't have idea about You display issue, but I don't thing there is connecion between it and Chameleon 2 ;)
Anyway if You expect help I sugest You to write down Your specs. - at least graphics related.
