Loads But Doesn't Attach
« on: August 07, 2009, 03:30:12 AM »
Nil,

Hi I have a TI:

04:09.2 Mass storage controller [0180]: Texas Instruments 5-in-1 Multimedia Card Reader (SD/MMC/MS/MS PRO/xD) [104c:803b]

VoodooSDHCI loads (manually, not from /S/L/E. Kextload -v 6 gives all the details, and 10 personalities are sent to the kernel:

kextload: kmod name: VoodooSDHC
kextload: kmod start @ 0x36c9551a (offset 0x28da)
kextload: kmod stop @ 0x36c9555d (offset 0x291d)
kextload: module VoodooSDHC created as # 112 at address 0x36c92000, size 20480
...
kextload: sending 10 personalities to the kernel
kextload: matching started for VoodooSDHC.kext

But it doesn't attach. I've verified that with ioreg. Let me know if you need the ioreg.

I'm a programmer, fluent in C+/Obj-C, bash, Linux etc. So if you need me to do anything, let me know. I also have access to another machine with an O2 Micro card. So I can test/develop there too.

Would appreciate if you could point me to any available source or debug kext.
Thanks for putting this together.

-u

P.S. If by chance you do edit the plist (I'd forgotten your admonition against doing that), the kext hard crashes the machine.
