How would I go about installing VoodooHDA? New to this.
« on: July 10, 2009, 02:36:42 AM »
I've got the file and hoping that I might be able to get some sound out of this 92XX but not sure how to go about getting it installed. Sorry if this is a repeat question.

Thanks

1: Download the VoodooHDA file in the sticky.
2: Download Kexthelper: http://cheetha.net/
3: Open Kext Helper, drop the Kext into the window, type in your password and hit install.
4: Double click the VoodooHDA prefs pane to install it.
5: Drop voodoohdahelper somewhere smart like your Utilities folder, go to your Accounts prefs pane, and add it to your Login items.
6: You MUST remove (and backup, of coarse) any conflicting Audio Kexts from your /system/library/extensions folder. I. E. AppleHDA, HDAEnabler, AppleAzaliaAudio.kext.
7: Cross your fingers and restart.
