Here's a recompiled version for x86_64 :)

Hello,

Someone modified the Trackpad.prefPane to work with this modified Alps kext. Is it possible to get one that works with 10.6x? Using the 10.5 one screws up System Preferences all together :/

Thank You!

don't use the prefpane from 10.5, just backup the one from 10.6
reinstall it
and then it should work

Thanks!

I'm wondering if anyone might be able to help. I've got an HP mini 311 it's got an ALPS glide point.
I've installed the voodooPS2controll 0.9.8 pkg and dropped in the ALPS modified voodooPS2Trackpad.kext.

But this isn't working. It's showing me in my console that it's loaded.

ApplePS2ALPSGlidePoint: ABmod, Loading Clicking Settings at Boot 1,1,1

thoughts?

Thanks, it works for my sony vaio, but it's possible fix the bug for voodoo prepane with the error:  "ApplePS2SypnaticsTouchPad Not Found" ?

And another problem, the mouse jumps suddenly sometimes, is there a fix for this, it's important?

;)

I have try also the original version and the mouse jumps more frequently.  My ALPS is "bad",  with this modded version the mouse works better, but can you fix completely the problem of "jumping mouse"?

especially also if the speed of the scroll is set to a minimum it is still too fast, the number of rows to scroll is still too for me ;)

EDIT:
I have resolve in other way ;)

Feedback:

It somewhat works on my Sony VAIO VGN-NR102E. Tapping and dragging work just fine but scrolling is the same as before. To be able to scroll at all i have to turn my finger sideways and move up and down the trackpad, that would fine if it wasn't for the fact that it just randomly scrolls up and down. Thanks for trying but it's no different than the regular Voodoo trackpad driver.

managed to make it work on my m1530. is there any way to disable the horizontal and veritcal scrolling and use that area as a pad as well ? since two finger scrolling works it would be great to have a lager area to move the cursor around
i tried to declare the margins in info.plist to 0 but it doesnt work at all. thanks

xjust, how did you get it to work on your M1530? I install it with a kext helper and reboot and repair all permissions but I still cant get to two finger scroll to work. Do I have any conflicting kexts? I removed appleps2controller.kext and repaired, but it still doesnt work for me. Does anyone have a list of what I have to remove to get it to work?. I'm running 10.5.8, installed with iAtkos v7, and when i open voodoo ps2 in sys preferences it says ApplePS2Synaptics touchpad not found...

Same problem for me: "ApplePS2Synaptics touchpad not found". I'm running 10.6.2 on Lenovo G550 with ALPS touchpad.

i used trackpad.prefpane from another post ( in the insanelymac area )
you can enable 2 finger scrolling with that from System Preferences after that

the trouble is that 30% of the pad doesnt work anymore (big part from the bottom and the right)

it would be great to have those areas working as before and two finger scrolling at the same time
right now i disabled the horizontal scrolling since it disable too much trackpad from working

Here's a recompiled version for x86_64 :)

Hello everyone,
I've installed the VoodooPS2Controller package (0.98) and this 64bit kext, but when I go in System Preferences -> VoodooPS2 I get an error "ApplePS2SynapticTouchPad not found". Is there any solution for this?

However, touchpad/keyboard works fine, even scrolling works fine, but not 2 finger scrolling.

Hey, got a Dell Latitude D430 here with SL 10.6.3 running great on it. Using this kext, I can get "pressure-based" scrolling, where it moves the mouse normally with a light touch and scrolls with a heavier touch. Very cool. However, is there some way to adjust the sensitivity? I have to use the lightest touch imaginable to move the mouse without scrolling. Also, the right and bottom sides (where scrolling would normally function) are just dead. Scrolling never worked with the original voodoo kext, but with either of them, if I disable scrolling in Touchpad.prefpane, the sides are usable again. Anybody have any ideas?

Also , when i use the two finger scroll ,the scroll speed is too fast and it can`t under control with Trackpad.prefPane
I hope someone can get help ,I have try some kinds of the Trackpad kexts ,like applePS2controller &appleacpiPS2nud ,it can perform very well (but when system wakeup from sleep ,trackpad can not click. It`s so boring) and this is the perfect one except above .Sorry for my poor english .Thanks in advance.

Overall the only fix I was looking for on my Delll Inspiron 9300 was the touchy tracking which was a might too fast. It worked well for me with iDeneb 10.5.8.

Thanks a ton!

Here's a recompiled version for x86_64 :)

Thanks, tapping work for Hp Dv4t 1400 (10.6.3, nvidia 105M, ALPS touchpad)

Tips: To show the trackpadpref, just add :

Code: [Select]
<key>VendorID</key>
<integer>1452</integer>

to the info.plist of this kext like this:

Code: [Select]
             <key>ALPS GlidePoint</key>
<dict>
<key>CFBundleIdentifier</key>
<string>org.voodoo.driver.PS2Trackpad</string>
<key>IOClass</key>
<string>ApplePS2ALPSGlidePoint</string>
<key>IOProbeScore</key>
<integer>1500</integer>
<key>IOProviderClass</key>
<string>ApplePS2MouseDevice</string>
                        <key>VendorID</key>
                        <integer>1452</integer>
</dict>
