Here's a recompiled version for x86_64 :)

Hi,

I have a Dell XPS M1530 with Snow Leopard running on it and my trackpad doesn't work fine.
In fact, it works but un-smoothly and I don't have scrolling (neither 2 finger scrolling nor normal scrolling).

Here is my /E/E directory.

Note that VoodooPS2Trackpad.kext is the recompiled version for x86_64.

The Trackpad prefPane is into System Preferences but there's nothing in it.

And finally, I've installed VoodooPS2.prefPane but it is bugged.

Can you help me? I'd like to have a perfectly working trackpad including scrolling! Thank you.

You'll need to install an alternative Trackpad.preferencepane, a quick google and this turned up:

10.6.1-x86_64 - chameleon-2.0-RC3-r658
Dell Vostro 1510 - T5670 (1.8Ghz) core2duo, nvidia geforce 8400m gs 256MB, Broadcom 4311, ALC268, ALPS trackpad.

Thanks for sharing the driver, and while it does technically work I think it is worth mentioning that saying this is a working 2 finger scrolling driver for OSX is like saying a North Korea nuke works as well as an American, French, British or Russian one.  This is honestly the worst multi-touch interface.   :o  It is probably the hardware and it is truly impressive to get these drivers working at all, just sayin' for anyone like me that spent hours trying to install it - it's not worth it.

hi, dell released a new driver for alps with multi gestures and zoom so this hardware can do it...can you improve this driver again to have these features?
