Nearly perfect on VIA 1708B
« on: July 20, 2009, 10:24:55 AM »
I managed to get VoodooHDA working nearly perfectly with the VIA HDA 1708B (Asus M2N68-CM).

It is so close to being perfect, I wonder if you would consider non-Intel HDA chips in future versions?

Great work with all the projects - YOU ROCK!

Hello

I wonder if you've ran to any issues if it's not yet perfect? I am having the same board and chip (Asus M2N68-CM) and so far audio has played perfectly with several apps playing sound the same time (mostly iTunes and WoW). I am very happy to not need an A-link USB sound card anymore which I got for 20 euros, it has a worse DAC too. I use only analog stereo output though - none of the fancy features of 1708B.

Good project, nice getting more devices to work. :)

Thank you for the driver , i finally have mic input. the problems are on my vt1708b: the device does not appear in system profiler, the inputs and outputs are named " unknown" and most important , it only works in stereo :)
