How do you hide physical disks from chameleon or OSX?
« on: April 27, 2013, 09:27:07 PM »
Hi,

I have windows installed on a raid two disk array (intel Z68) and chameleon/OSX on another hard drive such that every time I boot into mnt lion I get message popups at boot like disk needs to be initialized ignore. I would rather not let OSX see that array. Is there any way to hide those drives either in a boot.plist file or in a dsdt to mask them from view?

Thank you.

You can hide the disk in Chameleon by inserting into your boot.plist

Quote
Hide Partition
hd(x,y)

You can find x,y by pressing tab on the Chameleon screen.

I also find this article to hide partition from OSX. Not sure if this will remove the error you have every time you boot
