NVidia auto detect
« on: July 27, 2009, 01:58:06 AM »
How to enable the NVidia auto detect feature in RC2? I still need the device-properties string in com.apple.Boot.plist in order to the graphics drivers work. Get this message after selecting Mac partition: efi_inject_get_devprop_string NULL.
Thanks.

Sorta related, but I do see that message flash past on my MSI WInd (which has an Intel GMA950 GPU), any way to remove/hide it?

It works for me, except for one annoying issue; I have to unplug my TV before booting into OS X, otherwise it'll boot to my desktop background with no menubar or icons, normally a sign that the desktop has wandered off to some other display.

This does not happen when using NVEnabler or ATY_Init.kext.

My monitor is plugged into the DVI output, closest to the motherboard.

Card is a Geforce 9800GTX+, nVidia kexts are vanilla, from the EVGA installer.

The Graphicsenabler does NOT work here, too. I still need the devicepropertystring.

MB: GA-EP45-DS3, NVidia 7600GT on PCIe. Vanilla OSX 10.5.7

I made a Bugreport and added the ioreg output, maybe this helps the Devs to track this Bug down. I believe it's related to my Boards' PCI Bridges...

If it's like the other injectors out there, Chameleon 2's built-in injector does not work alone, your card still needs to be supported by Apple's nVidia drivers.

Some people will still have to hand-modify the nvidia kexts.
