[Theme] Bootcamp/Apple Boot Menu
« on: April 10, 2009, 12:25:16 AM »

Bootcamp theme, I cannot take all credit for this theme, it is based on a theme made by the user "alanlcarlos" on the insanelymac forum, I merely repackaged this theme and made it more accurate.

Enjoy! Download link below, as an attachment. The boot logo is for widescreens, if you don't have a widescreen.. change it!

This is a really good replica, it looks identical to apple's. Very good job!

very nice theme nebkiwi!  I am using this, I did modify the drive icons to reflect the OS (added beveled Mac logo and Windows logo to the respective drive icons).  Nice work

Hi, good theme, but during loading the default partition the progress_bar overlaps and covers the name of partition.
Can you fix this?
Thanks

Hi smith@@@

If you want to have a go at this yourself, you can edit the theme.plist for this theme and amend the 'progressbar_pos_y' key/string to a different value, this will have the effect of moving the progress bar either up or down depending on which value you enter.

You might also want to also change the 'countdown_pos_y' key/string which will move the 'Press any key to enter startup options' text.

Hi, nice theme.

I did some minor changes in the plist and progress bar graphics. Resolution in plist is still 1024x768 but it looks nice in my 1680x1050 screen.

Thank you for this theme.  I also made some changes, most notably, I added the Lion linen background.  It is also set for a 16:10 screen resolution.  I built this with a resolution of 1440x900.

Have downloaded this Theme and thought, that the white Bootscreen will be changed into the Linen-Background..?
but no, the Linen-Background comes, and then the white with the apple-logo.. any suggestions how to show the Linen on booting?

thx a lot for your work here...  rene

The actual boot, including the gray background, dark gray apple logo and spinning wheel is controlled by the kernel, not the Chameleon theme.  I'm still waiting to read/hear if there is a way to get the linen background when booting.  Since I have not installed Lion on a real Mac, I don't know if the linen background is visible throughout the boot when not using Chameleon.
