Putting
Code: [Select]
<key>Wait</key>
<string>y</string>
will let you see (almost) everything chameleon is doing before OS X starts.
Mac OS X 10.5.6 Retail (Updated to 10.5.7) with Chameleon 2.0 RC1+BootIt NextGen 1.86 (MBR Single Drive)
Gigabyte 73PVM-S2H + C2D + 2 Gb
2 SATA HD (AppleAHCIport.kext) + 1 PATA DVD+RW (DarwinATAPort.kext)
Realtek ALC889 (VoodooHDA.kext)
Geforce 8600GTS (EFI String) PS/2 M & KB: VoodooPS2.kext

You can even type this option at the chameleon boot prompt like:

-v Wait=y
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 | i5-2500k | 16GB RAM | GTX560 | Keyboard | Mouse | Devilsound DAC

Is com.apple.Boot.plist being loaded?
I mean should I see this file being loaded with the wait=y flag?

Yep !
If you add this key AND .plist is loaed(used) you should see this.
If you add this and nothing changed / seen then this edited .plist isnt used/loaded - someone other (wrong from S/L/E ) is loaded !
Also if you would add -v to kernel flag in .plist you could see if the wanted (edited) .plist is loaded or an other without that flag or key.

Do you know how to resolve this?
Or what is wrong with my apple.boot.plist file?

No, even the com.apple.Boot.plist  is 100% OK, it may NOT loaded because an other com.apple.Boot.plist , from /System/Library/Preferences/Systemconfiguration is loaded/used by an fault+bug of chameleon.
Check that by adding an -v as kernelflag there: /System/Library/Preferences/Systemconfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist

If now you see the verbose mode on next boot and you normal /Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist has no -v flag,  you know that wrong .plist is  used(by bug) and not yours from /Extra.

Sure the name must be correct : com.apple.Boot.plist, and also no rubbish content.
