Today i decided to try to remove as much as i can from disabler.kext
I removed everything, and surprisingly things still work (this was not the case in my last OSX build on a different harddrive)
IntelCpuPowerManagement starts without a hitch. The problem is that it need AppleHPET to start (otherwise there is a kernel panic). AppleHPET can load without problem, except USB doesnt work well after this. I am running 10.5.6, as i havent has a chance ot download updates yet.
The errors i recieve at startup are:
8/8/09 2:26:33 PM kernel USBF: 5.279 AppleUSBUHCI: unable to initialize UIM
8/8/09 2:26:37 PM kernel USBF: 10.282 AppleUSBUHCI: unable to initialize UIM
8/8/09 2:26:42 PM kernel USBF: 15.286 AppleUSBUHCI: unable to initialize UIM
I have tried to use UHCIfix, and EHCIfix. None of them work. I have even used DSDT Patcher GUI to fix up HPET, and i tried ForceHPET. None of them help (except UHCIFix stops the computer from freezing whenever a USB device is removed/added)...
Anyone have any ideas?
Could this maybe be solved if i update to 10.5.7 or 10.5.8?
