no sound from the headphones on my HP 2530p
« on: August 17, 2009, 08:47:19 PM »
I guys, first of all thanks for your great work. on my notebook (HP 2530p) I did try many solutions to try to get sound to work but none of them worked. then after installing voodooHDA.kext I can hear sound from the builtin speakers! :)

the problem is that the audio out/headohone jack does not work :( what could I do? I can not use my hackintosh in public places if the headphones are not working.. :(

i am attaching the dump file..

Thanks in advance!

PS: my audio controller and codec are:

00:1b.0 Audio device [0403]: Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller [8086:293e] (rev 03)
00:1b.0 0403: q (rev 03)
    Subsystem: 103c:30e1

   77    2 0x31ec2000 0x17000    0x16000 (1.6.5fc3) <76 6 5 4 2>
   78    0 0x31ed9000 0x22000    0x21000    org.voodoo.driver.VoodooHDA (0.2.1) <77 17 12 7 6 5 4 2>

sys profiler:
Intel High Definition Audio:
  Device ID:   0x103C30E1

from the pref panel > sound I can see two unknown devices (one in IN and one in OUT tab) and one mic device (IN tab)

I can also install and use the prefPanel provided along with the VoodooHDA kext but even increasing the volume for all the available channels no sound from headphones and mics (even if this is not a problem for me)

please help!! :(

Hi Moly, Is there a guide for installing mac osx on 2530p somewhere?

I would really love to install it on mine, :), thanks
