Need urgent help: Perl modules not loading
« on: August 29, 2009, 04:42:54 AM »
This is probably the wrong place to post this, but I'm now having problems with my Perl installation. Whenever i try to install anything, there is a message  saying preinstall/postinstall scripts failed to run. When i look at the console I realise that this is because it can't locate a perl file.

8/29/09 4:21:54 PM /private/tmp/scripts.5SbO/./preinstall[915] dyld: Library not loaded: /System/Library/Perl/5.8.8/darwin-thread-multi-2level/CORE/libperl.dylib

upon closed inspection, i have realised that the CORE folder doesnt exist, and neither do several other files/folders (when comparing to an old timemachine backup of 10.5.6 - the version I;m running). So far i haven't been able to find anything that could possible repair/reinstall perl. Almost all installers dont work anyway.

Has anyone else had this issue?
